Welcome to The Travel Alert Page for the 12th Masonic District

From time to time, the 12th Masonic District collectively decides to travel to other jurisdictions as a United Body. As the particuliars and other pertinent issues are addressed they will be posted on this page. The person(s) of contact will also be displayed and it is suggested that these individuals be utilized as a resource for a sucessful and organized visitation. This page will change as necessity dictates to reflect any and all activities of this nature.

"BE SURE TO CHECK FOR ACTIVITIES IN THE 12th"

Dear Brothers,The Annual New York visitation to Xenia Lodge #50 is scheduled for the weekend of October 31, 2008 to November 2, 2008. We will assemble at the Masonic Temple on Thursday night so we can leave at approximately 12:30 a.m. that Friday morning! The cost of the trip is the same as it was last year at $390.00 for a single room and $260.00 for a double room. All payments must be made in full before October 1, 2008.  We will be staying at the same hotel as in the past few years, the Courtyard by Marriott in Rye, New York. The hotel has changed its reservation requirements from last year, and I have to book everyone online before the 1st of October. At that point, the number of rooms and the total cost of the rooms must be guaranteed.  We have reserved 30 rooms so far, and they must be paid for before the 1st of October. Those rooms not paid for at that time will be forfeited back to the hotel for other patrons. Therefore, if you have not paid for your room at that time, you will not be registered. You still may be able to get a room, if any are available, but you will have to make your own reservations and pay the hotel directly whatever their going rate is at that time.  We also will be traveling once again on the bus from the Char-les-manze. The bus is a 47 passenger bus, and this year you will be able to choose your seat upfront based upon when your full payment is received.  We anticipate a full bus this year; therefore, seating will be at a premium. Anyone wishing to take up 2 seats, if any additional seats are available, will have to pay for the additional seat.  Brother Gordon is now collecting monies and writing receipts for the trip. All checks should be made payable to D.S.A.C.   Several Brothers have already made deposits, and we will soon be posting a list of the brothers who have made a payment and planning on going.  We look forward to having a wonderful time this year in New York. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at your earliest convenience.Fraternally yours,   Terry L. Webster, Sr.
